Read More a great vision for a design to tie in our old brick walkway with a new walkway with stairs down to our in-law apartment space in our walkout basement. From the materials he suggested to the herringbone pattern circular patio at the entrance, Wil in his team created something better than we could have imagined. The communication, quality, and overall experience was great! For pricing, Modena was competitive with other quotes we received, but one of the things that sets them apart was all of the base work they do for their walkways and patios (it was a lot of work!). They add in a felt material underlayment, then 12"+ of stone, then a smaller stone on top of that prior to compacting it all down. This process stood out to us as you can be assured there is great drainage and a solid base to set your new pavers/brick on. Modena also stuck to their schedule and started and finished as they planned and didn't go to other jobs and stayed at ours until it was 100% complete. Projects like these are big investments, and we were so happy we went with someone we could trust. If you or anyone you know is looking for any exterior stone work done, don't second guess it and give Modena Construction a call!
